How Can I Burn Fat?
Everyone has their own idea on how to slim down and burn fat. Some articles declare doing cardio workouts will not let you achieve your slender self you are looking for, Other articles make statements that weight lifting and spot reduction is not doing it either. How do we honestly know what is the right way to burn fat?
I don’t think we will ever find that perfect method. Even your doctor will tell you something different from everyone else. If you want to burn fat, they tell you to walk. I do think that is great advice. It’s not too stressful on your muscles, you will still be able to move the next day, no limping due to over use of joints. I have found going to your local school track to be the best for walking, the tracks are softer than the asphalt on the roadways or sidewalks. Less stress on the joints. Since not everyone has access to a track, the sidewalks and roads are it. You could walk on a treadmill, but they are not as interesting as walking outside. Plus outside you can take a partner with you. Treadmills are lonely affairs. They do come in handy on rainy days or if you live in an area like I do where we have winter. Walking on ice is dangerous, so the treadmill comes up then.
Just exercise alone won’t shape your figure into the hour glass you want. Not a fast method anyway. Along with exercise you will need to eat proper foods to help you burn fat. I just read the other day that eating grapefruit with a protein some how turns on your fat burning engines. It’s something to think about. I do like grapefruit.
Watching how many carbohydrates you have on your plate is a good place to start. If you are eating potatoes, corn and bread with only a portion of meat with it, that is a high carbohydrate meal and can add fat to your body over time. Our french fries with our meals we eat out along with a sandwich are loading us up on too many carbohydrates with only one meal. Even a lot of your cereals are full of carbohydrates. I am not saying that carbohydrates are bad, but with economy being bad and people trying to stretch the meals and dollars, a lot are adding noodles and potatoes as big fillers to the menu. How many people will make mac and cheese dinners? I know people who feed that to their children to fill them up. Eat that a few times a week and then wonder why the children are fat. You will actually find eating a balance diet to be as reasonable as eating a lot of carbohydrates. When eating proteins, you fill up faster.
Carbohydrates, proteins , fruits and vegetables all have an important spot on your plate. The carbohydrates give you energy. As long as you don’t eat so many that you cannot use up the energy and it goes to fat. Proteins help you build muscle, fruits and vegetables give you vitamins you need. Then there is the dairy too which is also important but does not need to be over done. I do use cottage cheese a bit in place of potatoes at times. You need to be sure to try and add something from all your food groups to your meal.
Eating right and exercise will help you burn fat. That is how people always use to do it. It’s time to get back to basics.
